The late Alyque Padamsee's new book 'Let Me Hijack Your Mind' was launched at Crossword Bookstores in Mumbai on May 19, 2022. The event was attended by many celebrities including Jim Sarbh, Dalip Tahil, Shiamak Davar, and Raell Padamsee.

Padamsee's book 'Let Me Hijack Your Mind' is co-authored by Vandana Saxena Poria, and it is published by Penguin India. "In this one-of-its-kind book by the late Alyque Padamsee, he invites us to re-examine and think afresh about some of our most deeply held beliefs, from love, marriage, terrorism, leadership, money, gender, faith to education... A fun, racy and often shocking read, the book busts some of the most well-known taboos, including life hacks drawing on his experiences in advertising and theatre, as well as new 'commandments' for the present generation," reads the book's blurb.

At the event celebrities Jim Sarbh, Dalip Tahil, Shiamak Davar, Raell Padamsee, and author Vandana Saxena Poria remembered Padamsee and the things they have learnt from him over the years. They also discussed some interesting topics from the book, like: ‘Should marriage change to a renewable 5-year license?’, ‘Should education become edutainment to ensure lifelong learning?’, and ‘Can theatre teach you what’s necessary to be successful in Business?’, among others.

The discussion was followed by an enthralling performance by mother-daughter duo Sharon Prabhakar and Shazahn Padamsee as they sang ‘Starry Starry Night'.

Sid Meghani also sang some popular songs by 'The Beatles’' like ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Yesterday’, and ‘Let it Be’. Chirag Agarwal entertained the audience with his live music.

Also seen at the book launch event were Saryu Doshi, Bakul Patel, Kunal Vijayakar, Denzil Smith and Kailash Surendranath.
